people who use the horrific abuse of migrant workers under a capitalist and corporate run agricultural industry as some sort of metaphorical talking point to shut down vegans are the absolute worst and 100% of the time don’t actually care about reforming the agricultural industry.

“Being vegan won’t stop animals dying completely, as long as humans are on this earth animals are going to die”

Homeless person wants some change? Sorry buddy, but giving you $1 won’t end homelessness, so why should I bother?????

Recycling? Why fucking bother, one person recycling won’t end the environmental devastation we are inflicting upon this world, so why the FUCK should I bother??

WE can’t do EVERYTHING so OBVIOUSLY we should do NOTHING.

our most intimate relationship is that with the food we eat, because it is the only situation in which something physically separate literally becomes us. so, when you eat the mangled flesh of a dead, tortured animal, you are literally becoming the death and violence you consume. and you cannot be at peace when death is inside of you.

woah.

as deep as this is can the vegans please stop trying to make me feel guilty for eating meat. thanks. on the flip side @veryhappyvegan you should consider writing a novel.

individuals are being slaughtered by the billions. the environment is being destroyed. no offense, but your personal guilt about your own behavior isn’t my #1 concern. and on the flip side, thanks.

Imo vegans forcibly telling people that eating meat is wrong and to stop is no different than forcing religion onto someone, and yet one seems to be socially condemned and the other is okay? Raise awareness about being and becoming vegan, tell us about the benefits, but don’t for a second use psychological warfare against omnivores like me, it’s subjugation at best.

lmao it’s not “psychological warfare”, it’s the straight up truth. you are paying for innocent beings to be murdered. you are eating their dead flesh. pushing your religion on someone is pushing your beliefs. all I’m doing is being like hey, maybe you shouldn’t pay for others to be murdered… and i get constant shit for it. no matter how i go about it, the truth isn’t pretty, guilt doesn’t feel nice, and it’s not my job to censor myself on my own blog so that people feel less “oppressed” while they oppress others.

There’s no evidence for religion or gods to be real. All the arguments for Veganism are there. The evidence exists. It’s not forcing anything on anyone.

“I want to speak to a manager,” the middle-aged woman said in her stern I-used-to-be-a-soccer-mom-ten-years-ago voice, looking down at me over the top of her Gucci reading glasses.

A wicked grin split across my face and the gates of Hell opened up behind me, releasing a gust of hot wind that whipped my apron around my body and forced the woman to shield her face. Demons came forth, dancing around in flames with songs of, “She wants to speak to a manager. Did you hear that? She wants to speak to a manager!” before erupting into earsplitting shrieks of laughter, none louder than my own cackling.

I took in the woman’s look of utter horror before my eyes rolled back into my head and I growled,

“I am the manager.”
